Chromate Conversion Conductive Coating
Chromate conversion coating is a type of conversion coating used to passivate aluminum, zinc, cadmium, copper, silver, magnesium, and tin alloys. It is primarily used as a corrosion inhibitor, primer, decorative finish, or to retain electrical conductivity.
Types
we have two types of chromate conversion coating with respect to the chromium.
- Hexavalent chromium conductive coating Cr6 also termed as iridite or alodine
- Trivalent chromium conductive coating Cr3 also termed as surtec 650
